Jennifer (Eun Kyung) Yoo is a partner at Peter & Kim in Seoul and is dual qualified in Korea and New York.

Jennifer has represented and advised clients on a wide range of international arbitration and cross-border litigation cases. She has acted as counsel in international arbitrations conducted under various institutional rules including those of the ICC, LCIA, SIAC, KCAB, HKIAC, and UNCITRAL. In particular, she has extensive experience in disputes relating to large scale construction or development projects, involving multiple claims, parties, experts and counsel.
She also has expertise in international trade and private international law issues. She frequently advises clients on international arbitration procedures, challenges and enforcement of international arbitral awards, and interim measures in respect of arbitration proceedings.

Jennifer received an LL.M. from Harvard Law School in 2022, and her J.D. from Seoul National University in 2015. She is bilingual in Korean and English.

  • Counsel to the Republic of Korea in an investor-state PCA arbitration conducted under the UNCITRAL Rules filed by Iranian investors, involving issues of provisional attachment proceedings under Korean civil procedure law.
  • Counsel to a US nuclear power company against its Korean counterparts in a KCAB arbitration in relation to the interpretation of a Korean law governed licensing agreement concerning nuclear power plant technology.
  • Counsel to a Korean construction company in an ICC arbitration against a Turkish company, in relation to the construction of an electric substation in Iraq.
  • Regularly advises construction companies on construction-related claims and potential disputes with subcontractors and/or employers.
