Over the past 10 years, he has been involved in arbitrations under a broad range of rules and seated in various different jurisdictions. He has worked and received training in a number of different jurisdictions, namely, Pakistan, Switzerland, France and Korea.
Umaer has a Master of Advanced Studies in International Dispute Settlement from the Masters in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS) program in Geneva, Switzerland, and an LL.B. from the Lahore University of Management Sciences, Pakistan. He is fluent in English and is a native speaker of Urdu
